Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of ShipReel for Mac and the credits that power its analysis. By buying or using ShipReel, you agree to them.
The license
ShipReel is a one-time $49 purchase. It unlocks a license that is tied to your account — not to a single machine. You can sign in and use ShipReel on up to 3 Macs at the same time, and move between them whenever you like. The license is for your own use; please don't resell, share, or sub-license it.
Updates
Your purchase includes free updates within v1.x. A future major version — v2, if and when it ships — will be a separate purchase, with an upgrade discount for existing owners. We may change or retire individual features as the app evolves.
Credits
Analysis runs on credits, billed separately from the app. Credits are consumable: each analysis spends credits based on the video's length. Credits never expire, and they are non-refundable once purchased — see Refunds below.
Refunds
All sales are final. Purchases of the ShipReel app and of credit packs are non-refundable. The trial is the safeguard: every download starts with a 14-day full trial and 20 free credits (6+ hours of video) — the complete app, not a limited preview — so you can import your own recordings, run real analysis, and export finished 9:16 clips before you buy. If ShipReel isn't right for you, simply don't purchase; you won't be charged. Credits, once purchased, are non-refundable, but they never expire.
Acceptable use
You're responsible for having the rights to the footage you process with ShipReel. Don't use ShipReel to break the law, infringe someone else's rights, or attempt to reverse-engineer, circumvent the license, or resell the software.
Warranty disclaimer
ShipReel is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't guarantee that analysis results, clip selections, or generated text will fit every use. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShipReel Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
